Smoke 10U – Booe wraps up the 2017 Fall Season with a Gold Bracket Championship!

Smoke 10U Booe is 2017 Turlock Turkey Trot Champions!

Our girls are fighters! Saturday’s pool play did not go the way everyone wanted for sure. 10U Booe got beat in the worst way possible in the first game against the Fresno Outlaws(2-8). The second game provided a little redemption with a 15-1 win against Lady Venom. Then, the night game was a hard battled back-to-back game against Salinas Wildcats (5-6).

Sunday was a new day and a new team! The team squeezed by with a 7th seed into the Gold Bracket and set the stage for a day full of paybacks.

In the first game, the team beat number 2 seed, Salinas Wildcats, home with a 6-4 win. Then, in game two, they sent home number 6 seed, Fresno Outlaws (4-3) and then took the trophy home after beating the number 1 seed Tuff Enough(12-4)!

On Sunday, the bats were hot and the pitching was lights out. All three teams we played were 11-year-olds and will have to move up to 12u next year. But not us Smoke 10U!

Good luck to our three old ladies! P, Saucy and Reag..Kick some butt in 12u next year. You all really stepped up when we needed you the most.

Thank you, too al the parents! It was a great fall season and we are so proud of you all!

Five tourneys..
2 gold bracket championships..
2nd in the Battle of the bots tourney..
3rd in the NorCal Championships and Swing for the fences tourneys!

Now onto 2018!

10U – Booe places 3rd in the California Fall State Championships

10U – Booe played in the California Fall State Championships this weekend. We went 3-2 and placed 3rd out of 10 teams in the gold bracket. The competition was the toughest yet. In every game, we were behind. The girls proved that the game is never over with one walk-off win and two comebacks in the last inning.

The two losses we had were still hard fought with girls coming off the bench with big hits. We will compete in our last tournament of the fall season in 2 weeks.

2 more weeks until our 3 “old ladies” have to move up to 12u.

Let’s finish strong. Keep fighting girls!

Foothill Gold- (W) 4-3
Woodland Aftershock- (W) 5-4
Galvezan Buzz- (L) 6-8

Sunday
Fulsom Freedom- (W) 8-4

10U – Booe wins the 2017 Back Widow Tournament in Manteca, CA

10U – Booe played in the Black Widow Tournament in Manteca Oct 14th-15th. They played three games Saturday 8 am against Sizzle (4-6 L), 9:30amMavericks (15-1 W) and  Batbusters at 12:30 pm(14-6). Sunday was an early morning with an 8 am start against Batbusters (8-1 W). In the winner’s bracket, they had to beat # 1 seed Sizzle (10-3 and 11-7) twice to win the championships.

Coach Chrissy Booe said late Sunday, “Girls took home the Championship today. I am extremely excited about how they are playing. I am most proud of how they have each other’s back. When J was struggling early in the game, Lainey stepped in and had her back. Defense was making great plays and each girl was aggressive. Every girl played for each other today. The confidence is growing and it is contagious. Keep it up Smoke. We have a long road ahead of us!”

10U – Booe takes 2nd in the Battle of the Bats Gold Bracket

10U – Booe girls played hard in the 2017 Battle of the Bats in Fremont, CA. They had been on a two-month break but these girls rallied through and made it to the Gold Bracket Championship.

They went 3-0 in pool play, taking the first place seed entering Sunday’s tournament, where they faced some tough competition. After winning the first game 3-1, they faced an older Alameda Blaze team. One bad inning put them behind 4 runs, but they still ended strong with a couple hard hits. We are so excited by the amount of skill these girls have.

Good job bringing home some hardware in the first fall tournament of 2017, girls!
