Smoke Fastpitch 10u takes second in AST’s Dudley State Championship

Smoke Fastpitch went 5-1 in Sacramento this weekend and grabbed a second place finish in the Dudley State Championship.  A 5-3 loss to Folsom in the championship game was the only blemish on the weekend.

Kirsten, Addie, Maddie and Payten led the way in batting.  All hitting .600 or better for the 6 games, while the pitching core had an ERA of 2.609 over 382 pitches.

Top 5 finish!

That’s right, Smoke Fastpitch finished tied for 5th in the NOR CAL USA SOFTBALL “A” ASSOC. CHAMPIONSHIP this last weekend.

Solid pitching, timely hitting, and some great defensive plays led the girls to a 4-2 record over 3 days.

12U has a smooth Friday!

Our 12U girls are battling in the NOR CAL USA SOFTBALL “A” ASSOC. CHAMPIONSHIP, and so far so good.

In the early game Smoke Fastpitch clinched the lead in the fourth inning to defeat the California Lady Bulldogs, 6-2.

Then Smoke Fastpitch clinched the lead in the fifth inning for victory over the Salinas Storm, 2-1.

Now the Smoke move on to play the Sorcerers at noon on Saturday.

A PERFECT Father’s Day Weekend

Smoke Fastpitch 10u was perfect last weekend!  The girls went on a 6-0 run staying flawless on Sunday with a 7-5 win in the Gold Championship game.

Tater threw a perfect game to get the Smoke rolling and they never looked back.  Every player got a hit, every player scored a run, every player got an RBI this weekend!  That is a total team effort!  Jersey and Addie lead the way with 7 hits a piece for the weekend!

Smoke Fastpitch 10u wins Gold!

Behind some timely hitting, great defense, and dominating pitching, Smoke Fastpitch went 4-0 on Saturday!

Rippy scored the winning run in a 2-1 victory in the championship game.  In a weekend where she hit .545 with two doubles, the run was the topping of a great weekend.  Williams got her first full action of the season with an impressive 4 for 8 performance.

4 Smoke pitchers were on fire as they combined for a 0.90 ERA and a 1.10 WHIP on the day.   Von Bergen was “lights out” and threw for 3 wins on the day and Norton secured the 4th.
